Before The New iPod Touch 4g

An iPod Touch 4g review would not be complete without mentioning the retina display it comes with. This is the same one that comes with the iPhone 4, and is a super sharp phone screen with the highest resolution for the industry; four times the resolution of earlier generations. This sharp resolution makes great HD movies and shoots crystal clear photos (with a flash when needed.) Although these features have been present on previous models, the pixel resolution is almost twice what it was.
Apple has turned the new iTouch 4g into a better camcorder as well. The resolution is great, but now the camera person can watch themselves in a corner of the screen while they record in high definition. With the iMovie application (additional charge,) the user can edit clips and add music or photos for a polished production.
For those who want the technical specifications, this latest Apple toy is equipped with the Safari browser, and is compatible with Motion JPEG in M4V, MP4, MOV and AVI formats. It also supports Apple Lossless, Audible, AIFF and WAV audio. In layman’s speak, it works with the latest popular media technology formats for pictures, video and audio files.

The hype surrounding 4g’s gaming skills is bound to be a major driver for Apple sales (not that they need it.) The Game Center application is a social network that connects with other iPod Touch gamers (with the updated iOS software.) Tap the screen to get started and sign in with your user id. Just like other programs, new games can be downloaded from the 4g Game Center.
